Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center occupies the restored Hawks & Reed Building, an 1870s brick commercial block on Main Street in downtown Greenfield. The building takes its name from a Hawks family and Reed family dry-goods partnership that operated out of the storefront in the 19th century; the current owners reopened it as a music and community arts venue in 2017.
The venue now presents itself as a multi-room performance and rental center, with the ground-floor Ballroom, the Perch, the historic-bank Pushkin, the basement Wheelhouse, and coworking space upstairs. Programming ranges from touring music and comedy to theater, dance nights, community events, and private rentals.
Visiting
Show schedules and ticket prices vary; local shows are often $10–$15, touring acts run higher. Doors typically open an hour before the headline set. The venue is on Main Street near Greenfield’s town common, with street parking and the Olive Street garage nearby.
